The administration of justice in the states

The administration of justice in the states is shouldered by the head of the respective judicial organ assisted by courts presidents and their senior officials

The head of the judicial organ is appointed from amongst members of the supreme court or members of the court of appeal, according to his seniority over all appeal in the organ . in his capacity as head of the judicial organ he preside over the court of appeal of the organ , forms the judicial circuits within the organ , distributes judicial work , performs the transfer of judges within the organ and is on the organ

There are 28 judicial organs in the country three of which are in the capital, Khartoum, the rest are distributed in the 25 other states
